Murchinson Falls National Park
The Falls is located North of Kampala and takes approximately 5 hours drive. The Boat safaris in the Park takes place both in the morning and in the afternoon. Most prefer the afternoon when the animals are seen to drink and cool off at the Lake. It is a tradition for most travellers to hop off the boat and hike up the Baker’s Trail to the top of the Falls where you can see the Nile force its way through a narrow 7-metre gap and then falling 45 metres down. The Boat trip can go upstream to the Falls or a trip downstream to the delta area can be taken where the River Nile splits into Lake Albert. This Delta Boat trip is a must do for the bird lover who may be able to get a glimpse of the Shoebill Stork.
Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary is located on the way to Murchinson Water Falls and can be done before the game drive or after. At the sanctuary you can track the Rhinos on foot
