Kangaroo Island is one of the world's great nature-based destinations, which also offers brilliant local cuisine, small batch wines and a leisurely way of life. You can see Australian sea lions basking on unspoilt beaches and Koalas dozing in the treetops. A pristine wilderness offering protection to substantial populations of native Australian animals, KI (as the locals call it) is a place of beauty, diversity and a place of escape, where you will find soaring cliffs, dense bushland, towering sand dunes, wetlands and massive arcs of pristine white beach. Kangaroo island is the third largest island off the coast of mainland Australia; at 155 kilometres long and up to 55 kilometres wide, it covers an area of 4,416 square kilometres.

Visit a diverse range of predominantly small businesses and provedores on Kangaroo Island, home to some of Australia’s premium Ligurian honey, beers and spirits. The world’s sole remaining pure strain of Liguarian bees can only be found on South Australia’s Kangaroo Island. During summer, the lavender flowers of Emu Bay are in full bloom and harvesting begins. The famous Ligurian bees are busy pollinating the flowers and production of the signature lavender honey occurs. Exploring the provenance of KI is not complete without a visit to Petite Provence, Permaculture Produce. Here you will find a wonderful array of lovingly tended, organically grown food which is transformed into traditionally preserved products. “Garden to kitchen” at its finest.
